One important note: the fact that the stadium and crowd are safe enough to take a digital camera without concern of having it stolen is something that should not be overlooked.

Nestled in the lazy streets of La Paternal neighborhood, Diego Armando Maradona stadium is not much to behold from the outside and can be missed if one is not looking for it. Still, the quaintness is nice.

The AAAJ inscription (Asociación Atletico Argentinos Juniors) is one of the many graffiti markings on the stadium’s walls.

There is no doubt as to the pregame dining options. Chorizos for everyone.

And the teams have taken the field. Strangely, the disparity in talent is not readily apparent.
