I'm willing to bet that given the time in one location and not following the typical Argentine pattern of two years or so and off to the next place, that Caruso would go through about 50 players until he found ones that meshed with his, ahum, mental issues. He needs to win something with Newell's, or at the very least a couple of top threes and a long Copa Something-or-the-Other run before the big boys will look at him. I mean, he's the kind of guy that if you heard he went and took a dump in the visitor's goal, you wouldn't be shocked. Caruso is definitely a rare breed. Totally perfect for him. From what I've seen of him, he was fantastic at Independiente where he paired up well with Daniel Montenegro and he was just ok at Colón, but again, only has one foot and must be why he is still in Argentina. He brought in something like 14 and most of brought the fire and energy that you would expect from that madman.
